I was 31 weeks pregnant yesterday so we had a Dr.'s appt. since we are now going every 2 weeks. They had scheduled an ultrasound before my routine appt. to check on his size. I was measuring 2 to 3 weeks larger than my due date, and they knew my due date was correct. Everything checked out great with his size. I have a good amount of amniotic fluid and he is probably just going to be a good size. I also have some blood work that we are keeping an eye on, so please continue to pray for us. No need for panicky phone calls, everything really should be completely fine.
We have also decided to switch my care from Sanford to Chapel Hill. This is a decision I am still very sad about, but for ease of life during the next two months, I guess it was a necessity. Now that we are going every 2 weeks and soon to be once a week, a midwife and hospital 5 minutes away vs. 40 minutes one way won out. Andrew has also been placed at a practicum site 40 minutes the other way, so it would have been a potential 2 hour wait if I needed to get medical attention. I am very sad about leaving my midwife, especially after she told me she would come pick me up! ha She was kidding, but I appreciate everything she has done for us since July of last year.
The other kiddo news is that Ceilidh slept in her big girl bed last night!!! She was SOOOOOOOO excited she didn't even let me sing to her. She literally was galloping around her room screaming, "'Rina' sheets, I want my 'rina' sheets!" We didn't hear a peep out of her until 7:45 this morning. I am very excited about this transition going so well. This was only the first night, so hopefully I can report in a couple of days that it has continued to be successful.
Her excitement continued into today as we scoped out her "new library" together this morning. This library is awesome! They have multiple story times throughout the week and actually split the children into age groups. They have family matinee movies as well as children's theatre performances. I am excited about getting plugged in at "my new library."
Here are some pictures of last night! ha
