Happy late 4th of July!!! I have some incredibly cute pictures from this weekend as we saw a multitude of family members of both sides. I don't have time this morning to upload all the pictures, but I will soon.
I think I have been in denial about how fast my sweet boy is growing up! ha It was overnight that he started recognizing what we were saying to him, letting his opinion be known, and morphing into a cruiser! He is just overall acting like a one year old all the sudden. We only have ~2 1/2 months people! TWO and A HALF months! Anyway... I am beyond thrilled he is healthy and developing well, it is just crazy how much faster his first year has been compared to Ceilidhs.
He has been saying "Dada" for a while now. Andrew tries to downplay it, but he secretly loves it that he said "Dada" first! ha Over this last week, he has added two new words to his vocabulary. He LOVES to shoot the basketball towards Ceilidh's miniature basketball goal. I purposefully didn't put the word shoot in quotations. He literally shoots the ball. No lie... I'm trying to get it on video. He puts the ball over this head and shoots upward. It is the cutest thing ever. Since we have been playing so often, he has learned how to say ball! It sounds more like "ba." But it is obvious a "ba" is a ball! His other word has totally blown me away. He has started saying "duh" which is dog. I wasn't fully convinced he was saying this until yesterday when he started saying, "duh," while looking at his Ramses mobile! Until yesterday, he had only been repeating whatever word we told him. I couldn't believe he made the connection himself that this animal was a dog and then said the word. Albeit, we should probably work on animal recognition, but I can see it. Ramses could easily be mistaken for a dog! ha
