Holy Week 2013

We had a wonderful Holy Week.  The last couple of years, we have followed the week with scripture readings and had a modified Seder. It has been a really neat experience, and Ceilidh actually references it throughout the year so I know she remembers doing it! ha This year though, we decided to make a concentrated effort to have communion each night with the scripture readings. I am really glad that we did, b/c Graeme really took hold of this. He would ask me throughout the day if we were going to do it that night, and then insist we do it before we ate. It was really sweet. I took the kids to visit my parents during the week, and he was very concerned we were not going to be able to do 'mumion' while away. That led to a good discussion about the idea of communing with God constantly.

We traveled to Gastonia to visit my family (of course, without my camera FROWN), and spent Maundy Thursday and Good Friday with them. It was wonderful to see my parents and my sister/family. We went to a Maundy Thursday communion service together which was neat to be able to do with my parents. Playground time, good food, and cousins rounded out a great couple of days!

Saturday we played with the 'Clendenin' side of the family at the Easter party Suzanne hosts each year. As always, we had a blast with everyone; and ate really well. ha Maybe, too well! wink Sunday after church, we traveled up to Asheboro to visit Andrew's grandmother. I love that my children will remember at least one of their great-grandparents. I hope you had a great Easter, as well!
