This Wednesday, Andrew and I celebrated nine years of marriage! I, of course, spent that evening backstage at a Spring Concert. ;( Since we knew that would be the case, we enjoyed a night away the weekend before. Andrew took me to the Carolina Inn which is absolutely gorgeous in its on right, but also meaningful as that is where our rehearsal dinner was held. We strolled around campus, and then went for an incredible dinner at Crooks Corner. It may have been the best shrimp and grits I have ever eaten. I almost took a picture of my plate! Ha The next morning, we slept in (yes, slept in!!!) and ate a yummy breakfast at the Inn. We walked around campus a bit more, and spent the afternoon leisurely driving back. I was ready to see the children by that afternoon, but the freedom to do anything we wanted, whenever we wanted for almost 24 hours was amazing! I really love hanging out with Andrew... he's a pretty special guy. ;)

We found new plantings on campus and thought it fitting as hydrangeas were our wedding flowers! |
