I'm obsessed with this onesie! Thanks Nana! I love it... and it describes Jane (and all my children) wonderfully! ha Not only does it describe my kiddos, it also describes one of my best friends, Susanna Ryan Clendenin!
Today, Susanna is turning 24. Where did the last 9 years go?! I can remember actual conversations the night I met "little" Susanna, or the lack thereof b/c she wasn't too sure about this girl Andrew had brought home! ha Now I know I have a strict "no birthday post beside immediate family" policy; but I felt like I needed/wanted to make an exception. Susanna is A.L.W.A.Y.S. making a big deal out of everyone else. I don't think there have been many months that have passed where we haven't gotten at least one card in the mail from her. Many times it is for no other reason, but to say she loves us and is praying for us. What better card could you receive?
My children have been spoiled beyond measure with her doting "Auntie" love, not to mention the adorable gifts she always seem to find. She definitely got her momma's gift in the gift-giving department. But Sus is so much more than gifts to us. She is by far, one of the most encouraging and thoughtful people I know. She is extremely compassionate and desires harmony to the point that it is contagious! Christ oozes out of her in such a quiet and gentle way. I don't think I have ever left her presence feeling anything less than serene and uplifted.
Not only does her inner beauty shine bright, but she is gorgeous. I would LOVE to be 1/3 as fashionable as she is, and definitely to have her 24 year old body again! ha Susanna, we love you so much and are beyond thankful for who you are to Andrew's family of origin, our immediate family, Andrew individually, and myself individually. I hope you feel celebrated today (and always)! You are "kind of a big deal" and we want you to know you don't go overlooked!
You will always be his first "girl!"
