Andrew has always said if he could have anything from that house, he would want the door. Well, thanks to my wonderfully sentimental in-laws; we are getting our door back!!!!! Randy and Suzanne were driving by the house Friday afternoon, and noticed the new owners were replacing the windows and the front door. The front windows were terribly inefficient, but it is still sad they took those big beautiful windows out.... Anyway, Randy and Suzanne stopped to ask the guy if he would be willing to sell the door to them. The night before we moved to CH, I rocked Ceilidh to sleep as I thought about everything that had gone on in the rooms of that house. No big surprise, I cried like a baby! ha It will be neat to have a literal piece of that house, not just the memories that were made. I am so excited that someday, you will be welcomed into our home through the door that "started" with us! Thanks Randy and Suzanne for stopping, even if it was awkward! ha

Not the best picture of the door, but the only one I could find without literally going through every picture I have stored on the computer!

This is really sweet, Cyndy! I know EXACTLY how you feel about first homes. I drive the house I grew up in every chance I get.
I remember another picture of that door -- the first Christmas you lived there we made the picture of you and Andrew sitting on the steps in front of the door :)
Thats the picture I was looking for, but I can't find it on my computer. frown I hope I have it somewhere, b/c it is one of my favorite of us!
