Never complete

As I took down all the Christmas decorations today (insert large sobs here!), I found myself wondering for like the 5 thousandth time why I just didn't like our stocking arrangements. Don't get me wrong, I love our actual stockings. But something has just not seemed right since I hung them up in early December. It hit me mid-way through the advent season, that I wasn't happy with the "look" of the stockings; b/c it wasn't complete. There wasn't one for Kenan. I'm ok that Kenan doesn't have an actual stocking. In fact, I think that might be a little too much (in our family's opinion) and I don't necessarily love the idea of leaving a space between Ceilidh and Graeme's stocking. I do however, feel like he needs to be represented over the fireplace with the rest of the family. Maybe it is something of my own making, but I feel like stockings at Christmas are so representative of your family. I mean heck, many people even have stockings for their animals!

I have racked my brain for a couple of weeks now, and I have nothing. I got pretty frustrated this afternoon that I had not come up with a way to honor him, but I refuse to just do "something." I have thrown around hanging the letter "K" or maybe a butterfly with our stockings. I don't know..... I know this might seem weird asking since this is such a personal decision; but do you have any suggestions for next year? Have you heard of anything anyone else has done in this situation?
