I would definitely not call myself a horse lover, or even a horse person for that matter. I do think they are beautiful, but that is where my admiration ends. Andrew on the other hand, has always loved them. He even enjoys the way a horse smells.... ugh. ha All that being said, we LOVE to watch the Triple Crown races. I can even remember my first Kentucky Derby with Andrew, as we sat upstairs at his parent's house, cheering on "our" horses. I am extremely competitive; in fact, we both are. ha So..... races are fun. wink Two weeks ago, the Kentucky Derby kicked off the 2012 "big three." Andrew picked "Daddy Nose Best" and I picked "I'll Have Another." We both liked our respective horse's name and cheered hard. Ceilidh also got in on the action, but switched horses to mine at the end of the race! HA She switched horses, b/c "I'll Have Another" won!!!!!
Because my adorable husband is a romantic at heart, he happily cheered on "I'll Have Another" with us this afternoon (in the Preakness) in hopes of a Triple Crown winner this year. And wouldn't you know it, he did it again!!!! Two races down, one more to go. So, come June 9th; join the cheers of the Clendenin home and cheer on "I'll Have Another" to a Triple Crown!!
