A steady slow

This summer has been pretty slow and enjoyable, but we have also had something happening every few days or so. The summer reading program, a few dance camps, trips planned, people visiting, etc. I have enjoyed this actually. We have an activity to keep the pace of 'normal' life flowing for a few days, but then freedom to let them wear their pjs the whole day or an evening drive past bedtime for most of the week. I am totally going to miss this come Fall!

These are just a few pictures from our 'steady slow' this month! :)

Lauralei and Gracelyn came to visit!!!

I wish all the Smoak children had been able to visit, but we are thankful to  have spent some time with these girls!

My beautiful nieces

A little morning exercise! HA

Jane's new haircut. :)

So thankful for her heart. I'm saving this forever.  *tear*

Aunt Susanna came and shared her love and talent during our mail week! She talked to them about the importance of letter writing, thank you notes, and the proper ways to do all this. We had a lot of fun. Thanks, Susanna!

Jane was super proud of her letter and asked me to take a picture! ;)

Andrew took me to see Lionel Richie in concert this past week!!! It was awesome. Jane had some difficulty going to sleep with the babysitter, so we found the girls like this when we got home. So sweet! Ceilidh really is a wonderful and nurturing sister.

Andrew and Graeme had a 'Daddy/Graeme date' to see Planes: Fire and Rescue. He was so excited that he had a count down throughout the week. He also told his sunday school class how thankful he was for his daddy and the movie date during prayer time. I know I am biased, but he is adorable! And btw, the boys loved the movie!
