Summer achievement!

After commenting to another mom at the beginning of the summer that Graeme would probably still be wearing floaties at age 25; this little fish has progressed from screaming for floaties to only stay in 3 feet, to swimming all over the pool WITH floaties, to no floaties but ONLY in 3 feet, to screaming for NO floaties and swimming all over!!!!! I am thrilled for him. I am also a bit more anxious now. Ha  Since Andrew is usually at work when we head out to the pool, I am responsible for three lives near water by myself. Last year I was a nervous wreck for the first couple of weeks, until I could assess everyone's individual abilities and figured out what worked for us to have a good time but stay safe. This year I was totally fine, as Ceilidh is a pretty strong swimmer and Graeme was a floaty champ. Jane still uses me as a floaty. :/  Now that Graeme has decided to swim, we had to review our water safety rules! He was so proud of himself. Maybe I am in denial that they are growing up, but I am constantly amazed at how they continually accomplish new things. I definitely want to live in reality ;), but I hope I never lose my amazement of these three miracles!
