Back from the hiatus

Well Hello! We had some technical difficulties with a broken power cord, and then some traveling to keep me from blogging the last couple of days. First of all, HAPPY 2009! I cant believe it is already the fourth day of the new year. We had an exciting New Year as we traveled to Huntersville to celebrate with college friends. It was wonderful to see everyone together. I miss these girls so much! We had a great time of playing games, catching up, and laughing so hard that my stomach hurt. We got to meet Thomas, Emily's boyfriend (he passed Em! wink), and see Mel's new house. Melinda, thanks again for hosting! We love the house. Ceilidh did exceptionally well going to sleep. I was pretty worried about her sleeping in a new place, but it didn't bother her at all. I hope we see everyone again soon!

After saying goodbye to good friends, we drove to the mountains to spend a couple of days as a family before "the grind" starts back. Andrew is obsessed with snow, so I was really excited when we woke up Friday morning to this:

It all had melted by that afternoon, but it was fun to see it that morning. We really didn't do much of anything, but that was actually nice. We drove on the parkway, drove up Beech Mtn., shopped at the outlets, watched movies, etc. It was nice. We are going to miss Daddy being at home all day when he goes back to work tomorrow.

On the way home, we stopped in Gastonia to do Christmas Part 5. Ceilidh got to see G-Daddy and Grappy (not sure how or when Granddaddy and Grammy turned into this, but she is pretty adamant about these names). It was great to see my parents and my sister's family. Hopefully someday soon my brother and his family will be able to join us. Ceilidh really had a blast with her cousins and by the end of the night, she was so tired she was literally asleep before we hit the end of their road. I wish we got to see them more often.

I hate that my pictures are blurry from that night. Maybe I can steal some from my sister's page once she gets them up.
