Children are pretty amazing

If you feel bored with life or can't seem to see God's awesomeness (yes awesomeness), then have a child! ha Ok, so I don't condone procreating without serious consideration you married ones; but I am totally convinced that God's plan in both perfect and amazing, evidenced one way through children. If you have experienced parenthood, you understand how incredibly hard to explain, but how incredibly simple it is to see more of God in and through your children. But for those of you that haven't experienced parenthood, one way that everyone can visibly see God's awesomeness is the development of a child. Over the last 20 months, Ceilidh has gone from a completely dependent infant, to a running all over the place independent toddler. I have loved watching every minute.

This morning I witnessed another skill mastered. I ran out of sippie cups so Ceilidh and Zion both drank out of regular cups! They thought they were really cool! haha Ceilidh kept saying, "Ahh" after she would take a sip. It was hilarious.

After breakfast, I gave them a bath. With the shape of a tub, obviously you put one child near the faucet and one near the back of the tub. Well, with these two it doesn't matter where you put them in, they ALWAYS end up side by side laughing through the whole bath. They are so sweet together, most of the time! ha They are both toddlers, so they have their moments... but they really love one another!

So tonight at bedtime, I kept asking myself, "When did she learn that?" She has become savvy to all stall tactics including, "milk peez", "pee pee mommy", "one more" (one more book), and the best ever, "DADDY!" haha Well tonight she threw a new one at me. She decided she wanted to sleep with one of her library books. She literally clutched the book while we rocked for a few minutes before I laid her down. I had to pry the book out of her fingers before I put her in the crib. She was not happy about this, but I tried to explain to her it would be uncomfortable. She was not in agreement! ha Finally she calmed down, but I thought, wow... when did she get so grown up she is making excuses not to go to bed! I am going to miss this age with her. She really is fascinating to watch.
