Graeme, The Muffin

Today was pretty terrific. Andrew took the day off work, and I got to spend time with two of my favorite women in all the world! My good friend from the Baity Hill days, Alicia; is moving with her sweet family all the way to Arizona!!! frown I am excited for their new adventures there, but definitely sad to see them leave NC. So, to say "goodbye" in person; we got together for a little bit in Chapel Hill this morning. It was wonderful to see her (as it has been a while), and I can't wait to see where she, Jon, and Elliott go in the future! Safe travels and much love, Alicia!!!!

After seeing Alicia, we drove to Franklin St., got lunch, and walked a few rock walls. wink Then, I got to visit with another of my favorites; Wesley Wilcox! Ceilidh has been talking incessantly since our postponed play date last Tuesday, about when she was "going to get to see Amelia!!!!!" Well, finally we made it happen. ha Andrew and Graeme had some "man" time together, and the ladies got to talk and play for a while. My time with Wesley is NEVER enough, but I am thankful for the few hours we got today. In fact, everyone needs a Wesley and Alicia in their lives! It was wonderful to catch up with you, Wes!

Having Andrew home during the week is always a treat. So like I said, this day was pretty terrific!

So, why the post title? Yesterday at breakfast, Graeme literally ate 4 or so muffins. ha This kid can eat when he wants to. Ceilidh started laughing uncontrollably, and telling him he was going to turn into a muffin. After breakfast, she decided she wanted to write a story about Graeme doing exactly that. Turning into a muffin.  She authored, wrote, and illustrated the story ALL on her own. She asked me for spelling help, but she has now officially authored her first book. wink I thought she did a wonderful job, so I took a few pictures so I can show her one day! Enjoy your sneak peek into the author's copy of "Graeme, The Muffin."

The proud author and her subject!
