Thankful

We have come to never take for granted or begrudge making the drive once a month, then every two weeks, and finally once a week to the midwife, until a baby arrives. Andrew was able to maneuver his schedule to go with us to my OB work-up today (yay!), and we got an excellent report. I am on track, and his/her heart beat is strong and healthy! I cried every time I heard Ceilidh's heartbeat during her prenatal days; but that sound has gotten even sweeter after losing Kenan. We are so thankful for a good report! They scheduled our 18 week ultrasound for four weeks, and the debate to find out his/her gender has started again in the house! HA I'm not going to let him wear me down! wink

So much fun!

I know Sum won't mind if I post this, and I can't resist the urge to post about the coolest (baby idea) I have heard about in a while! My good friend, Summer, and her husband, Derek, had their "big" ultrasound yesterday morning. Most importantly, they were told baby Stipe is healthy and looking good! So actually that is the coolest part of this post. wink

Coming in a close second though, is the "reveal party" they had that evening. They took the results of the baby's gender to a bakery after the appointment (and without looking themselves), and had the baker make a pink or blue cake with white icing. That evening with family and friends, they cut into their cake to find out they are expecting a ......... BOY!!!!!! I am thrilled for them, and think that if you are going to find out the gender of your baby, this is definitely one of the coolest ways I have ever heard about! Leave it to Summer and Derek to do something like this. They are pretty cool people! You should know them if you don't! ha

Happy First Birthday, Jack!

Little (or not so little, ha) Jack turned one last Monday. It really is hard to believe that he is already one and that Phoenix is less than a month from one! This last year has flown by, and I am not even their mommy! ha Lauren and Randy hosted an ADORABLE Peter Rabbit birthday party for him on Saturday. It was wonderful weather and everyone had a great time. Lauren read the story of Peter Rabbit, the kids colored, hunted for vegetables while trying not to get tagged by Mr. MacGregor, opened presents, and ate cake! Jack looked so cute in his smocked jumper and showed off his walking skills all over the house. What a fun and cute party?! Happy Birthday Jack. We love you!

Come one... come all!

Welcome to the circus! The 2 and 3 year old classes at the preschool, attended the BCP Circus last week! I got to help with the "production," so I was able to sneak a few cutie pictures. Ceilidh has talked about the circus NO STOP since, so it might be time to take a trip to the real circus. It would probably blow her mind! ha And yes, as you can see from pictures; Graeme was totally digging the cotton candy. Am I terrible mother for allowing my 17 month old to have cotton candy? I brushed his teeth extra well that night! wink

The sensory table is one of Ceilidh's favorite activities in the classroom. Sometimes it is filled with sand, playdoh, beans, etc. Today it was a water table which Graeme decided to turn into the "splash table."
