Welcome Judson Andrew!

I am so excited that we got to meet baby Judson this weekend!!!! He is adorable! I REALLY didn't want to let go of him, but I figured I would let Andrew hold him for a minute or two. wink I can't wait to see all FOUR of the Thomas' again soon. We love you!

Happy Happy Boy!

I don't think Graeme has ever been happier than last Saturday, when we got to watch the new Whispering Pines fire truck dedicated! The fire truck was dedicated with a formal ceremony, they put on a car fire demonstration, and they flew in UNC's rescue helicopter. This was mighty machines on steroids! HA

Celebrating "Andrews!"

So this is late... as most things in my life! wink But HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my amazing husband, Andrew!!!!! (yesterday, ha) It is hard to believe we have celebrated 11 birthdays together! I hope we have a TON more.

Not only are we celebrating Andrew Clendenin, but also Judson 'Andrew' Thomas!!!! Judson was born Monday evening, missing sharing a bday with his Uncle by only a few hours. We are SOOOO excited for Lauren, Randy, and Jack; and can't wait to meet Judson. The one camera pic I have seen proves that his momma's claim is accurate; he is beautiful!!!

*A bday shout out is owed to Alicia as well! Hope Winslow treated you well this year!

All Aboard!

Recently, Andrew found out about an old railroad that is now being used as a train museum and offers train rides on the weekends. We knew we had to take our little train enthusiast, especially since his birthday was coming up. After waiting months for today to finally come, Graeme (and all of us) got to ride the rails! I think it was as exciting for Andrew and myself, as it was for the kids! ha We scored a ride on the caboose, and even rode half of our trip in the cupola (the area at the top of the caboose where the conductor sits). It was a really neat experience. If you have a weekend free in the near future, you should check it out!

This is for you, Sus! I think you should get your own seal. wink The postal car was really neat.

She would N.O.T. let got of the rail. She would have crawled right out of the window if we would have let her. Lets just say, Jane has become "spunky" these days! ha

Little Tykes Soccer

My heart was giddy the day Ceilidh asked if she could play soccer "like Zion." I played/competed in competitive soccer and dance growing up. I love them both, but if I was completely honest; my first love has always been soccer. I wanted nothing more than to be just like my brother who went on to play in college.

Andrew and I feel very strongly about letting our children play the sports they want, not what we would like them to. But, if they ASK to play our favorites; that is a great day! ha So, this season was the first time Ceilidh was old enough to play indoor soccer. And not only does she get to play like Zion, she is playing WITH Zion. If it could get any better for her (wink), Uncle Paul is her coach! She has had so much fun already. I can't wait to watch them develop over the rest of the season.

Funny conversation after the first game:

Me: Did you have fun, Ceilidh?
C: Yes! Except when I had to sit on the bench. And, no passed me the ball.
Me: Well, everyone needs a turn to play. You sit on the bench to take a rest and let someone else play.
C: Oh.
Me: Who didn't pass you the ball?
C: No one did.
Me: Honey, the other team is not going to pass you the ball. You can take the ball away from them. You stop the ball and take it to your goal.
C: Oh. I can take it away from them.
Me: (chuckling) Yes Ceilidh. We share the ball with our teammates, but you take the ball away from the other team.

*Hilarious! I spend all day telling her to be kind and not take things from her siblings. Then we get on the soccer field and I am telling her to "steal" the ball! This can be a bit confusing I'm sure! ha
