Jack turned 3!

It is hard to believe that the 'little boys' are growing getting so old. Graeme will be 4 this year, and Jack and Phoenix are turning three. In fact, Jack turned three on Thursday!!! Lauren and Randy threw a really sweet and boy friendly construction party this afternoon. Graeme has been SOOOO excited about the 'digger' party. He literally hung up his 'digger' invitation on his cork board of special things. Happy Birthday, Jack! We love you!

FINALLY!

I finally got to meet the absolutely adorable "bebes" as Jane calls them! Our cousin/friends (wink), Jared and Kristen (and Dakota) added to their family with twins 2 months ago. Due to crazy schedules and sniffles; we just got to snuggle this duo yesterday. They are a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e!  I had to practically beat baby fever back into reality while I was holding them! ha Thanks for letting me bring my loud and silly crew, Kristen! We love you guys!

Most of my pictures have Jane in them, b/c C and G promptly ditched the twins for the way more fun and interactive Dakota! ha

Jane has been VERY excited about her fingernails and toenails since we painted them last week. She shows EVERYONE! I think we know who our 'priss' is going to be. wink

Bummer! I didn't get any close ups of Jonas. Between just holding them (and feeding them, YAY!),  I forgot to get a close up.

We also got to see the Cox family! If we are going to make the drive, might as well live it up! ha

Amanda and I were laughing about how we would have never imagined 6 kids at one table when we met over 11 years ago! I'm so glad we have maintained many of our college relationships!

Are you a lowlander or a highlander?

Our curriculum book this week is a great story by Munro Leaf called Wee Gillis. As you can guess from the title, our family has loved this book as it is about a little Scottish boy trying to decided if he is going to be a lowlander like his father's relations, or a highlander like his mother's relations. The other night, we got a visit from Wee Gillis' Uncle Andrew! (There really is an Uncle Andrew in the story. ha)
The kids thought this was awesome. They have seen Andrew's kilt hanging up, but I think this was the first time they had seen him wear it. They got so inspired, Ceilidh threw together traditional Scottish attire for her and Graeme as well! ha You know you have a good looking man, when he looks good in a skirt kilt as well as pants! wink

*Oh, and Graeme is sure to remind me S.E.V.E.R.A.L. times during the reading of the story, that he would choose to be a lowlander because 'that is what daddy is.' ha The Clendenin family whose name like many, has evolved (at one point they were Glendenning (sp?) ) came from the lowlands of Scotland; and herded long-haired cattle.
