Boxes, boxes, boxes
I am going to throw away everything we own, and move into a van down by the river! If I see/smell another box in the next year, I think I am going LOSE IT! ha

Last day
Though Andrew has one final next Tuesday, his last day at the hospital ("hostipul" in Ceilidh pronunciation, "pul pul" in Graeme language) is TODAY!!!! I am so proud of him! I will make this a short post as A. he really gets frustrated when I write about him (ha) and B. I don't want to be "that" wife who over exaggerates his accomplishments b/c that is annoying. But, this season in his/our life is definitely noteworthy, whether or not I am "that" wife for a week or so!
Yesterday, his supervisor and co-workers gave him a farewell party and invited us to attend. Ceilidh LOVED going to Daddy's unit, and Graeme LOVED walking across the suspended bridge b/c five "bue buses" passed underneath just on a walk from the garage to the cancer hospital. I enjoyed meeting some of the people I have heard about for the last year, as well has hearing their genuine praise of Andrew's character, work ethic, and way with patients. I had three different people tell me word for word, " Andrew is a great guy that we are sad to see go." I was one proud wife the whole day!
To make the day even better; we walked away with probably two days worth of meals from Flying Burrito. Can you say, yum?!!!! If you have a hankering for mexican, come on over! Revisions to his research paper and a final on Tuesday are the only thing that stand between him and 'pomp and circumstance!' You can do it, Andrew!

Slacking
I have been slacking on the blog front for a week or so, and it might continue at least for a couple more days. UNC has once again decided that my computer is not "up-to-date" enough for their network, so I can only get on the internet with Andrew's computer (the one without the pictures). He has been churning out papers like a paper mill the last couple of weeks, and now he is down to finishing his last one; the dreaded graduate level research paper! He is SO close. So, I haven't had a computer much. And, no one really cares what I have to say anyway; you are all here for the cute C and G pictures. Don't worry, I know the truth! wink He/we are hoping he will be finished in a couple more days, and then there will be major partying going on in the Clendenin home! We are moving in less than two weeks, so we have a lot going on. Hopefully I will have blog/picture availability again soon!

It has begun...
... the wearing of maternity clothes. frown This is the one part of pregnancy I don't like. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE to see cute pregnant women showing off their beautiful pregnant bodies, and there are actually some cute maternity clothes out there. I just live in a more practical world, that buying a lot of clothing (cute or not), for a a span of ~5 months is just not worth it. You never know if another pregnancy will correlate time wise, clothes are expensive, and they take up space. I don't mind the actual wearing of the clothing, I am just already dreading the utter disgust that begins around the 7 1/2- 8 month period when I am SICK of the same clothes. I know this is my own fault b/c I don't buy an abundance of the maternity clothing, but then this takes us back to the fact that I don't see the point in wasting my money. I'm sure poor Andrew is ready to buy me my own Motherhood when we get to that point in a pregnancy (ha); but I am determined to have a better attitude this time around!
One redeeming factor of wearing maternity clothes though; is that usually the time I start wearing them, I also feel the baby move for the first time. Actually with all four of them I felt the baby during the 16th week, even Kenan. I unfortunately haven't felt him/her again; but I did feel the "popcorn" yesterday and Tuesday!!! I am very excited about this!
One reason I am already wearing maternity clothing at 16 weeks (UGH!), is that I am indulging my desire to be a better cook/baker and trying out new recipes! ha Last night while I was preparing a banana and chocolate chip bread (I highly recommend!), Graeme started pulling out my cookbooks and spreading them all over the kitchen floor. This has become a favorite past time of his, always while I am cooking so that I have to step over him and books during the process of cooking in our already pretty teeny kitchen. I was talking to Andrew, when he started laughing, and motioned to me to look at Graeme. G-man was sitting in and on a pile of cookbooks, flipping through Southern Living's Christmas edition, while "mmmm'ing' " every recipe he saw with a picture! HA He is one funny little boy!

"Rain, rain, go North... I mean away!"
Today on the way home from preschool, Ceilidh and I were admiring the beautiful blue that was beginning to poke through the yucky grey clouds. I commented how clear and pretty the blue was, just like Carolina blue. wink Ceilidh said, "Yeah, you're right momma." She paused a minute and then said, " I bet it is dark and raining at Duke!" HA Thats my girl!
